In November 2016, we visited Autoworld Brussels. They had a lovely bubble car exposition, with all these tiny cars like the BMW Isetta. Car lover as I am I had a great time in this wonderful building. It was build for the celebration of 50 years Belgian Independence. It’s a U shaped building with one arm holding the Air Museum and the other end is where Autoworld is.
At the Canon Photo Campus there was also a falconer who flew his birds for us. For me this was the ultimate possibility to try my prospected future camera, the Canon 1DX. I combined it with the Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS II and my own Tamron 150-600mm to come to these photos. This was a very good experience and practice. There was a fairly dark and rainy day, so an ideal environment to play with ISO and diaphragm.
On Saturday, November 19, 2016 I got the chance to attend the Canon Photo Campus. It’s an event where you can try their lenses and cameras and attend workshops and lectures by famous photographers. I gained a lot of experience using the different cameras and equipment.
One of the workshops I followed was Portret Photography by Jurriaan Hoefsmit. He showed us what you can achieve with just one light, an umbrella, a blower and a reflector. We had two beautiful models, the girl a professional model, the guy was one of us, a photographer with the most intriguing blue eyes.
